Kitty Visit

Today we went and saw the cats. We never saw Sabrina, but we're sure she's still there, I highly doubt she would abandon Baby or a food source. I got to hold Baby for a little bit, but most of the time I held Salem. He didn't remember me at first, but once I got him in my arms it must have all come back. He was purring and loving on me like he always has. I miss him already, still sad that I never saw Sabrina, but I'm hoping that when Angie feeds them their tuna, she'll come around since she always loved tuna.
We also had a great dinner tonight at the Nungessers.
It was a good day, with lots of crying on my part, when I couldn't find Salem and when I did find him and when I said goodbye again.

Sad Night

I We lost Beau this evening. We pulled into Beaver Springs campground and Beau's breathing was heavy and he couldn't get up. We brought him outside so he could get some fresh air and he passed not long after 5pm. We had considered having him cremated and pushing on to Maine, but we decided against it because you never can be sure of what ashes you are getting back. So we are going home in the morning (Thursday September 10th) and we will bury Beau with his family on Friday morning. RIP Beau Beau, we love you so much and are happy that you are no longer in pain.

Smooth sailing

We stayed in West Haven RV park for 2 nights, in Fairview, Pennsylvania. We went on a walk yesterday, where the park map said was a nature trail and there really wasn't one so we walked around the campers and semipermanent houses and then went back to the AC in the camper. It was so hot!
We are now on our way through New York, we are going to Beaver Spring  Lake Campground, in Davenport, NY. We called to make a reservation and no one picked up the phone; we're hopeful that they'll call us back soon. We are 190 miles from there.
We are still traveling through the Allegheny Mountains, which are part of the Appalachain Mountains.
We also passed through Iriquois reservation territory and saw a huge Indian casino!

Mini Grillin

We are having cheeseburgers tonight on our new tiny, baby grill. It's absolutely adorable. We will be traveling with it so we can grill out while we are away.

Goodbye Kitties

Yesterday we took the cats to their new home in Somerset. It was a very sad ride up; mom and I cried a lot. When we got there Angie had done something I never expected. She had a kennel set up inside of her home so they wouldn't have to be in the barn. She texted me later that afternoon that Baby & Salem were doing well, but Sabrina was still pouting because she is locked up.
Angie has almost finished an outside run for the cats in hopes they will enjoy staying inside of they can go to the run out while in nice weather. I feel good knowing that we have left my kitties in very capable, very good hands.

Snow Cleaning

Today we noticed that with the snow and rain the awnings were beginning to sag with the weight. We thought at first we could just roll in the slides and the snow would just fall off. But when we tried to roll the awnings and we realized the snow was just too heavy. Dad was going to use a letter to push the snow off the awning, but I thought it was a bad idea for dad to be climbing ladders. Then I noticed that there was a ladder attached to the side of the RV. I asked Dad if that letter was for climbing on the roof, when he asked why I asked if I could just climb on the roof to push the snow off with the broom that we use for cleaning the cars off. Dad said okay but when I get to the top of the ladder and it looked icy I was to climb down immediately. It wasn't too bad so I climbed on top and push the snow off of the awning. When the last little bit of snow hit the ground the awning popped right back into place. I climbed down without incident. Dad told me I was quite a thinker.

RV & Truck

We have had the RV & truck for a while now. We purchased a fifth wheel toy hauler and a 2015 crew cab Ford truck. Dad looked up the RV to the track and while pulling away from the RV mashed the tailgate so now we have no tailgate; at least we get better gas mileage this way, haha. Dad has already taken it for a test drive and on that test drive he took out the gate and mom ran over dads shoeing  box with the Chevy truck.  2015 has so far been pretty crappy, let us hope it only gets better. Our plan is to leave by the end of this month or possibly the beginning of February our plans change from day today so there is never any telling. We did however get the RV leveled and will hopefully be able to load it soon.  Until next time, Caitlin & Chrystal.
